My Man Jeeves by P. G. Wodehouse

Its first publication takes place in United Kingdome in 1919. In that year all short stories appeared under one cover. Earlier they all be published separately as articles in different newspapers and magazines of the United Kingdome and the United States of America.

There are 6 short stories and most of them are written from the perspective main character. His name is Bertie Wooster. All stories describe Wooster's in New York. But this man is not a native New Yorker. He flees from England trying to escape his Aunt Agatha, who is really mad at him. All these stories from My Man Jeeves collection are among the earliest. Theку will be much more of them in the next years.

The first appearance of Jeeves in world literature was in 1915. During that year the short story "Extricating Young Gussie" mentioned about this character only in a few words.

My Man Jeeves was followed by 2 more collections of short stories. One of them was called Carry on, Jeeves. In 1934 the Bertie novel was published. It was a very anticipated novel about Jeeves and his new adventures.
