The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a very short story, and it is one of the most famous in the world literature.
Dr. Henry Jekyll enjoys a reputation as a brilliant researcher and physicians among his colleagues and students. While a to the world doctor appears as a very respectable-looking man, in fact, he is intensively engaged in Paramedical science. And one day he transforms his body by drinking a special elixir in the shadowy figure of the malicious Mr. Hyde. And in the beginning of the story, Dr. Jekyll had not known yet about this main "success ". He is only confronted with the misdeeds of Mr. Hyde.
In the further course of events, the lawyer Mr. Utterson goes in the bed-chamber of the doctor and suddenly reveals the secret. With the help of two written perspective of events (one – from the witness and one from the Dr. Jekyll) readers finally understand the disastrous history.
It is interesting that Dr. Jekyll's transformation was possible with the help of a contaminated salt only. And if there are no right ingredients – it will be a disaster. So Jekyll will be trapped for eternity in the body of the evil Hyde.
The story itself is excellent, the style is polished, all characters are memorable. The only thing missing is a detailed description of the malignancy of Mr. Hyde. The book contains a clear statement: Man cannot escape his conscience. Dr. Jekyll takes his life after the final transformation into Mr. Hyde. The book is similar to the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "The Metamorphosis", it is a timeless piece of literature
