The book is exciting, scary, captivating, interesting ... and yet somehow believable told despite fantasy elements. The characters are well written, each has its unique individuality, a something that makes them unique and sympathetic.

Despair creeps through the pages like viscous honey. But sometimes there some hope between chapters of The Passage (Book One of The Passage Trilogy) .
Excitement is guaranteed in this book.

The writing style of the Justin Cronin is clear and fast. He does not use long, nested sets of images. Nevertheless, he manages to describe all the scenes very carefully and pictorially, even the emotions.
